THE BEFORE

EAST VILLAGE TOWNHOUSE

This four flat building in the East Village neighborhood was built to house the city’s growing number of laborers after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. We were immediately drawn to the home's beautiful brick facade and shell which was retained during the conversion to a single family home. The interior was completely transformed with modern touches that respect the great history of the home.

Done in collaboration with Mike Shively Architecture.
